Federico Fellini made him an icon of glamor in the sixties when he shot his film there The sweet life. Sixty years later, Excelsior film, still rising proudly in the distinguished Via Veneto in the capital of Italy, as symbol highborn, class and refinement.

This hotel built in 1906, It is one of the most emblematic palaces of the city, rich in history and located in the legendary Via Veneto. The Westin Excelsior is located between Plaza of Spain and the Borghese Gallery and Gardens. features 281 rooms and 35 exclusive suites, between her Villa Dome, one of the most spectacular suites in Europe.

The corner of the piano is one of my favorite places, where every evening before dinner, a pianist enlivened the evening with his varied repertoire.

He “welcome pack” I was offered as hosting, could not be more successful. Champagne bottle Pomeray, foie, toast and berries. All this in a magnificent Grand Deluxe Suite overlooking the grounds of the American embassy, in which waking became a true daily pleasure.

Villa Dome. It is the Penthouse Suite Hotel, plant occupies five six, but I would define it, as the crown jewel, or sixtina particularly chapel. It is the largest suite in Europe and is considered one of the most spectacular and opulent suites across the European continent which offers elite real experience “Roman Emperor”. its decor, inspired by the Italian Renaissance, It might make us think that we are facing a real Renaissance Villa and not a suite. It consists of seven terraces, Luxury swimming pool with Pompeian mosaics, own winery, cinema and private elevator.

Located on two floors, They are communicating with each other through a sumptuous marble staircase or private elevator. Your room is under a dome 12 meters high with hand-painted frescoes. The suite combines stunning city views with sumptuous splendor everywhere.

La Suite Imperial, another symbol of distinction, is approximately 300 m2. It has two bedrooms, one with a huge imperial bed and four bathrooms with marble Siena. Its decor has been carefully selected to offer guests a unique collection of pieces from the most prestigious auction houses in Europe.

To end this story, I want to show a strong appreciation to both the hotel manager and their staff, for making me such a pleasant stay at The Westin Excelsior. I do not bathed in Fontana di Trevi Anita Ekberg as, but for many reasons these days accounted for before and after.

Rome is Rome, the eternal city that you end up returning someday…
